2 2/3 c. flour

3 tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

2/3 c. Crisco

½ c. milk


Mix together all ingredients adding milk last. Roll out enough to put 1 cored and peeled apple in. Put a little sugar in the hole made by taking out the core. Put a drop of butter on top. Wrap the dough around the apple and sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake about 40 minutes at 350º. Makes 6-8 dumplings depending on the size of the apples.
