1 tbsp. chili powder
1 or 2 small onions chopped finely
1/2 green pepper chopped finely
1 lb. hamburger
2 cans kidney beans
2 small cans or jar of tomato juice
Melt butter in pan and sauté the onion and green pepper. Add hamburger, salt and pepper and brown hamburger. Drain off grease. Add kidney beans and tomato juice just until it looks right (you don’t want too much tomato juice). Add chili powder and sugar (to taste). Simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
